Uíge – The deputy governor for the Political, Social and Economic sector of Uíge province Maria Cavungo Tuesday stressed the achievements of Agostinho Neto in the political, cultural area.
Maria Cavungo described the deeds of Neto as a source of inspiration and a role model of life for the new generations.
Speaking at the end of the visit to the photographic exhibition “about the life and work of Agostinho Neto”, the official highlighted the importance of the population to be informed on the achievements of the first president of Angola.
Among other several contributions, Maria Cavungo highlighted the important role of Agostinho Neto in the conquest of Angola’s independence on 11 November 1975.
She also stressed Neto’s contribution to national culture, with the launch of several literary works, among other professional and social activities
