AGT informs companies on Asycuda functioning

Cabinda – The General Tax Administration (AGT) in Cabinda today informed managers of companies and public institutions about the operation of the new technological system to be used in customs procedures, called, Asycuda.

Among these companies are TAAG, Enana, Port of Cabinda, DHL, CABGOC and Correios de Angola.

On the occasion, the regional director of the current AGT, Ricardo Aguiar, told Angop today that the meeting aimed to clarify that Asycuda is an integrated management system that automates all processes and procedures of the customs activity, from the submission of cargo manifest until the exit of goods from the places of temporary storage.

Regarding the advantages of the system, which is already implemented in some customs regions, he indicated that it will allow agility and improvement in handling the integrated management of settlements, payments, repayments and related accounting procedures.

Freight forwarders will feel more relieved, given the speed in processing their customs documents.

Asycuda is already implemented in more than 80 countries and, in the southern region of Africa, namely Namibia, Zambia, DRC and Congo Brazaville.
