Angola: Accurate exploration requires investment – Sea Academy principal
Luanda – The principal of the Namibe’s Academy of Fisheries and Sciences of the Sea, Carmen Van-dA�nem dos Santos, said Monday in Namibe that the exploration of the country’s maritime resources with greater precision requires investment in the field of scientific research.
Speaking to ANGOP, she said that Angola has a high potential on its coast, needing to be exploited with scientific knowledge so that the country can count on all the wealth that the sea offers.
Carmen Van-dA�nem dos Santos said that the bet on this academy by the executive shows its interest in the exploration and safeguard of all the species that are on the ocean.
She said that the training in this institution will allow young people from several provinces of Angola, especially those from the coastline, may put into practice all training and be able to expand their knowledge in their areas of origin.
According to her, the academy will graduate students and shape men with values that contribute to the knowledge and commitment to the development of Angola.
The institution, inaugurated by the Vice-president, Manuel Domingos Vicente, has an area of 30 hectares, and is a true academic complex, with residences for teachers, swimming pool, workshop rooms, machinery and motors rooms, space for fire extinguishing classes.
