Angola: Angola fight for bronze in under-18 African Cup

Luanda – After being eliminated in the semi-finals by Mali, defeated by 59-84, the men’s under-18 basketball team play today, at 17h45, against Egypt, for the third place of the African Championship taking place in the Malian city of Bamako.

In this tournament, the national team began the group stage (B) with defeat against Senegal by 76-77, then added three successive triumphs, namely to Tunisia (73-68), Rwanda (80-79) and Algeria ( 86-50).

In the quarter-finals, they eliminated the Democratic Republic of Congo (62-44), but in the semi-finals they failed to outperform the host team, thus failing to revalidate the trophy the title won in 2016, in Rwanda.

The final will be between Mali and Senegal.
