Angola: Fair On Mining May Start This Year
Luanda – The ministries of Geology and Mining, Oil and Industry will hold later this year the first International Fair on mining, oil and manufacturing, announced on Wednesday in Luanda the minister of Geology and Mining, Francisco Queiroz.
Speaking at the opening act of the V Consultative Council of the sector, the official said that in partnership with these ministries, it continues to project a platform to capture investment on a global scale which is expected to have a big impact among investors.
Regarding the National Plan of Geology (PLANAGEO), the minister said that current results encourage the design of mining development parks, whose aim is to create basic conditions to empower the development of different mining ranks in the country.
The airborne geophysical survey identified 773 targets of which 138 are classified as priority targets.
On the occasion, the Minister of Planning and Territorial Administration, Job Graca, spoke of the role of geology and mining in the economic and social context of the country, said that diamonds, ornamental rocks, iron, and gold were selected for production under the targeted programmes.
In this context, they were developed directed programme of pig iron and ornamental rocks with estimated production of 104.074 cubic meters.
