Angola: Industry Ministry presents licensing system

Luanda – An Industrial Licensing System (SILAI) that will allow any investor to request an industrial permit through the Web, reducing the waiting time for the issuing, documentation costs, travel expenses and fees to pay, was presented Tuesday in Luanda, By the Ministry of Industry.

The new system will allow better coordination between the Ministry’s management and the provincial delegations, allowing technicians to analyze the information received from the industry in an easier and faster way.

If all the requirements are fulfilled, the investor will have access to his / her license within ten days.

The license to be issued will have a new design and add advantages such as a bar code, safety hologram and watermarks that will minimize the possibility of falsification of the same.

At the presentation ceremony, Industry Minister Bernarda Martins said that with SILAI, the procedures will be simpler and the application of fees reduced.

For Silai to function in full, according to the official, it will be necessary for the country to have a good internet network, a work being developed by the Ministry of

Telecommunications and Information Technologies.
