Angola lose and play qualifying in Minsk World Cup

Luanda – The Under-17 national women’s basketball team lost on Wednesday in Minsk (Belarus) to Hungary by 48-88, in a match against the knockout round of the world cup for 9th to 16th place.

The Angolan team lost all four matches so far, with the group stage losing to Australia by 43-81, Canada by 36-66 and Latvia by 47-68.

This is the first time that the national basketball team has participated in a Under-17 World Cup.

The world cup started on the 21st July and is expected to end on 29 July

Australia is the title holders.
