Angola: Minint Denies Food Shortages in Luanda Prison

Luanda – The Prison Service, linked to the Ministry of the Interior (MININT) refused on Tuesday in Luanda that the inmates of the Luanda Central Prison have been receiving during four days (from 16 March), only one meal a day.

In a statement delivered to Angop, the institution explains that the MININT logistics department provides direct and regular food, personal hygiene and medicine to all prisons in the country.

It states that at this time, the Luanda Central Prison has food for more 14 days.

The Prison Service concludes that, once again, some people of bad faith attempt, intentionally and at all costs, to tarnish the good name of this penitentiary institution.
