ANGOLA MUST PAY HIGH PRICE OF MARITIME SECURITY – NUNDA

Despite the high cost of the Navy means, concerning acquisition and its maintenance, the Angolan nation “must pay the price” of maritime security, said the Chief of the General Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces, Geraldo Sachipengo Nunda.

Geraldo Sachipengo Nunda was speaking this Friday at the opening ceremony of the symposium of the Angolan Navy (MGA) themed “Expectations and challenges of the Navy”, in the 40th anniversary of the corporation to be marked on July 10.

In this context, Geraldo Sachipengo Nunda stressed that the MGA is currently being reinforced with ships, systems and means of observation and coastal defense, in addition to infrastructure necessary for its operation.

The act was attended by the commanders of the three branches of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), admirals, generals, officers and cadets and military representatives of friendly countries.
