Angola Oil & Gas 2019 promotes investment in sector

Luanda – The 2019 Angola Oil & Gas Conference set for 3-7 June next year, in Luanda, under the promotion of the Africa Oil & Power organisation and the sponsorship of the Mineral Resources and Oil Ministry, will stimulate new investments in the Angolan oil industry, ANGOP has learnt.

Angola Oil & Gas 2019 emphasises the government’s intention to attract more investments to the country’s oil fields, alongside the reform measures being defined by President JoAPound o Lourenco which are intended to boost competitiveness and industrial growth in Angola, reads a press note issued by the organisers of the event.

The conference is deemed a platform for the government to promote new opportunities for the country’s oil industry.

Angola has been one of the world’s chief producers of oil and gas, so under the new administration of president JoAPound o Lourenco we are focused on revitalising and increasing our potential in an exponential manner, reads the note.

The minister of Mineral Resources and Oil, Diamantino Azevedo, is quoted in the same note as having stressed that with the conference the government intends to maximise the values of the Angolan economy by bring in investors that can increase competitiveness in the oil sector and use the Angolan oil industry as the main catalyst of the economy in general.

The Angola Oil & Gas 2019 event is to be attended by prominent government and business officials from different parts of the world.
