ANGOLA OIL MINISTER ATTENDS ROUNDTABLE WITH POTENTIAL US INVESTORS

An Angolan delegation participated Tuesday in a round-table meeting on energy in Washington DC, jointly organized by the United States- Angola Chamber of Commerce and the Atlantic Council, a US think tank focusing on international affairs.

The meeting was attended by representatives of American firms interested in investing in the Angolan energy sector while the Angolan delegation was led by Oil Minister Botelho de Vasconcelos.

Also in the Angolan delegation were Minister of Energy and Water JoAPound o Baptista Borges, Secretary of State for International Co-operation A�ngela Braganca, and the director of the Office for the Americas at the Angolan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Teodolinda Coelho.

The Angolan delegation had participated in the 3rd Dialogue on Energy between Angola and the United States here Monday.

Monday’s meeting discussed the need for changes in regulation in the energy sector, as well as the importance of creating a good business environment, with a view to attracting more private investment into Angola.
