Angola has open a new centre for visa application to China in Luanda, operates by the VFS Global company.

According to a press note from the head of operation of the institution, Jiten Vyas, whoever wants to apply for visas to China will need to go to the new centre.

Jiten Vyas said he was honoured by the partnership with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, the provision of services that will facilitate and standardise the process of obtaining visas.

The objective of this centre is to make procedures faster and more effective, significantly contributing to the development of trade and travel between Angola and China.

The VFS Global company has been serving the Government of China since 2008 and currently serves in Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo and India.

Meanwhile, the ambassador of China in Angola, Cui Aimin said the accumulated value of projects by Chinese companies in Angola by the end of the year 2015 is estimated at 56.7 billion US dollars.

Speaking at the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Angola-China Chamber of Commerce, Cui Aimn said 90 percent of this value represents member companies of the chamber, which contribute remarkably to the post-war reconstruction, economic and social development of Angola.

He stressed that China is the largest trading partner of Angola, Angola being the second largest Chinese enterprises market and third largest trading partner of China in Africa.

He notes that business cooperation in the future will be focused on helping Angola to develop agriculture, industry, construction of railway infrastructure, road, hospitals, schools, municipal administrations, supply and transformation of electricity and hydropower plants, which offers good opportunities to develop Chinese companies in the country.

He assured that China will strengthen folklore communication and cultural exchanges with the Angolan people, as well as promote the friendship between the two peoples.
