Angola should focus on training of autonomous, skilled staff

Luanda – The economic transformation agenda of Angola entails a strong commitment to training quality as the country needs autonomous and solidarity men to ensure skilled professionals.

This was said Tuesday in Luanda by the director general of the Integrated Technological Training Centre (Cinfotec), Gilberto Figueira.

Gilberto spoke of vocational training taken as a permanent strategy for organisational development for adaptation, changing and a greater competitive capacity in an increasingly globalised economy.

Gilberto Figueira was speaking on the importance of “Vocational Training in Angola” at the seminar under the topic “Commandments of a leader and contentious labour”, sponsored by the Angolan company IIDEA Digital Work Solutions.

He considered crucial the permanent development of the men’s skill and the continuous operation of the training structures.

To him, it is important for companies to continue investing in training of human capital to ensure increasingly competitive as well as introducing process and product improvement in the market.

The director said autonomous, solidarity and skill requires to develop personal, social, productive and cognitive competence, as well as learning to be, to live together and to do.

“Angola faces several challenges in terms of competitiveness, coupled with fight against unemployment and diversification of the economy, he said, adding that such a goal will only be achieved with a combined effort toward development of human resources training.

Operating for more than 10 years, Cinfotec has sent 13,000 trainees to job market.
