ANGOLAN DEVELOPMENT BANK ENDS PRE-ASSESSMENT VISIT FOR EIGHT PROJECTS IN ANGOLA

LUENA, An Angolan Development Bank (BDA) delegation has concluded a pre-assessment visit to eight projects in the field of timber exploitation and rice production in the eastern Angolan province of Moxico. The projects had been submitted to the Ministry of Economy for funding.

Angolan Development Bank Chief Executive Officer Manuel da Costa said in this provincial capital Wednesday that the projects were estimated to cost a total of 20 million US dollars to implememt.

As for other projects previously financed by the BDA in the province, he admitted there existed some constraints, but he stressed the need to tackle the situation to ensure the viability and sustainability of the projects.

Moxico Deputy Governor for the economic sector Maria Antonio highlighted the BDA’s role in Moxico, and encouraged promoters in the province to come up with projects related to cassava and honey.

During their two-day visit, the delegation members met the provincial governor and project promoters.
