ANGOLAN ENVIRONMENT MINISTER IN NAIROBI FOR UNEP ASSEMBLY

Angolan Minister of Environment Fatima Jardim has left for Nairobi to attend the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Assembly being held in the Kenyan capital this week.

The Environment Ministry said in a media statemet here Wednesday that the assembly, being held from May 23 to 27, would review the implementation of the UN’s Agenda 2030 environmental dimensions for sustainable development and targets.

The UNEP is tasked with making strategic decisions, outlining political guidelines and promoting an interface between science and politics in safeguarding the environment.
