Luanda: Angolan President Joo Louren§o held a telephone conversation on Thursday evening with his counterpart from So Tom© and Prncipe, Carlos Vila Nova, during which they reviewed the state of bilateral relations between the two countries.
According to Angola Press News Agency, during the dialogue, the two Heads of State addressed aspects related to strengthening cooperation in areas of common interest, within the framework of the historic relations of friendship and solidarity that unite Angola and So Tom© and Prncipe.
The conversation is part of the dynamic of regular consultations between the two leaders, with a view to deepening the existing political, economic and diplomatic partnerships between the two Portuguese-speaking states.
The friendly and cooperative relations between the two States are based on political, historical, cultural and geographical factors, formalized in 1978 through the General Cooperation Agreement and the Bilateral Joint Commission, created in 1980.
