Bie: Vice president pleased with Agricultural potential

Cuito – Angola’s Vice President of Republic Bornito de Sousa Monday in Cuito, Central Bie province, expressed satisfaction at the economic potential exhibited at the agricultural fair, ahead of National Hero Day, on 17 September.

This was during a central event to mark Hero’s Day, September 17, held on the venue of the agriculture fair.

Bornito de Sousa, who presides over the event , said he was impressed by the levels and quality of the products grown in this part of the country.

Accompanied by the new provincial governor, Pereira Alfredo, the vice president learnt of some local products, with stress to rice, corn, beans, soybeans, bananas, tubers and some artisanal pieces of the province.

Bornito de Sousa recommended the farmers to increase their production to diversify the economy and reduce hunger and poverty in communities.

The province of Bie has a population estimated at 1.4 inhabitants.

Attended the exhibition outgoing governor, A�lvaro Manuel de Boavida Neto, minister of Territory Administration and Reform, AdAPound o de Almeida, MPs of National Assembly, Cabinet Members, directors and municipal administrators.
