Boxing: Olympic qualifiers team called up

Luanda – At least sixteen athletes have been summoned to the national boxing pre-team, ahead of Angola’s participation in the African Olympic Qualifying Tournament of Tokyo, to be held from 17 to 29 February, in Dakar (Senegal) , notably among others Evander Osorio (57 kg) and Sidney Manuel (69 kg), both performing in Germany.

Eduardo Daniel (75 kg), performing in France, and Adilson Justino (63 kg / Russia) are also on the Interclube dominated list of nine athletes, ranging from 52 kilograms to over ninety (+90 kg), indicates the federation in a note to which Angop had access today, without advancing the date for the beginning of training.

Here are the boxers performing in the country:

Nuno Alberto, Miguel Kembo (52 kg), Francisco Gomes, Ernesto Gomes (57 kg), Nafital Goma, JoAPound o Bamba (69 kg), Pedro Cuca (81 kg), Luvumbo Junior (91 kg) and Francisco Kabusso (+91 kg) ), all from Interclube, Victor Garcia (63kg / Team Elite), Jordan Mafu (+91kg / Palanca Team) and Adriano Kiana (75kg / Inter da Huila).

Angola have already guaranteed presence at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in Japan with the women’s handball team.
