Champions League: Angola learn group stage opponents next Wednesday

Angola, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Morocco will be represented by two teams each, while South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Sudan with one each.

Four groups, comprising four teams each, will be created. But only the top two teams from each group will be qualifed for the quarter-finals.

1 de Augosto and Petro de Luanda (Angola), Esperance de Tunis, ES Sahel (Tunisia), Al Ahly, Zamalek (Egypt), USM Alger, JS Kabylie (Algeria), TP Mazembe, AS Vita (DRC), Casablanca Wydad , Raja Casablanca (Morocco), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), FC Platinum (Zimbabwe), Zesco United (Zambia) and Al Hilal (Sudan).

The four-time national champions reached the group stage on Sunday, despite a 0-1 defeat in Luanda by the Zambian Green Eagles, after beating their host 2-1.
