Covid-19: Angola records 170 recoveries, 170 new infections

Luanda- The health authorities have recorded, in the last 24 hours, the recovery of 170 patients, 170 new cases and 6 deaths.

According to the daily bulletin, 52 recovered reside in Luanda, 49 in Namibe, 28 in Moxico, 25 in Lunda Norte, 8 in Lunda Sul, 7 in Huila and 1 in Benguela.

Among the new cases, 87 were registered in Luanda, 29 in Namibe, 17 in Moxico, 16 in Lunda Norte, 13 in Benguela, 7 in Huila and 1 in Lunda Sul.

The list consists of 115 male and 55 female patients, aged between 3 months and 84 years.

In the last 24 hours, 501 samples were processed by RT-PCR, with a positivity rate of 16.4%.

The deaths, involving 2 male and 4 female patients, 4 occurred in the province of Luanda, 1 in Huíla and 1 in Huambo.

Angola registers a cumulative of 93,694 confirmed cases, of which 8,575 are active, 1,863 have died and 83,256 have been recovered.

Of the active cases, 13 are in critical condition, 51 severe, 38 moderate, 65 mild and 8.408 asymptomatic.

In the treatment centers, 167 patients are hospitalized, while 129 are in institutional quarantine.
