Culture minister addresses Peace Biennial with African diplomats

Luanda – African group of diplomatic corps in Angola was informed Wednesday by the Minister of Culture, Carolina Cerqueira, about the Peace Biennial that will be held in Luanda on September 18-22.

The meeting, which took place at the Malian embassy with the participation of ambassadors, consuls and the representative of the African Development Bank (AfDB), provided general information on the objectives of the regional cultural meeting for peace and their state of organization and preparation.

Carolina Cerqueira said that the event comes from the invitation made to Angolan President JoAPound o Lourenco by the Director-General of UNESCO, Andrew Azulay, during the visit of the Head of State to that organization’s headquarters in Paris in 2018.

The participation and arrival in Luanda of hundreds of guests will be present and informed of the miscellaneous and the rich African and Diaspora culture in the most varied modalities and advances in the field of science, new technologies and entrepreneurship, as well as national experiences and in favor of a culture of peace, fraternity and solidarity.
