Defaulting employment agencies to be suspended, extinguished

Luanda – The private employment agencies, which do not comply with rules, will have their licenses suspended or extinguished from January 2019, said on Thursday in Luanda, the Secretary of State for Labor and Social Security, Manuel de Jesus Moreira.

The Government official, who was addressing at the opening the methodological and technical meeting with managers of employment agencies, said these companies are obliged to report to the incumbent employment centre the change of the place and headquarters where they operate in 30 days period of time.

The agencies are also obliged to report during the first ten days of each month, statistic data on the activity developed during the previous period, indicate the number of applications and offer of jobs received as well as the employment they provided and the economic sector the candidate joined.

According to the official, there are 127 private employment agencies in Angola most of them located in Luanda, Cabinda and Zaire, of which 41 provide temporary workers, however out of the overall number only 16 firms present regular data.
