The Democratic Current elected Sunday Ahmed Bahloul as president of its national council as well as the eleven members of the executive committee.
SG Nabil Hajji told TAP the party held Sunday its national council meeting – the first since its third congress (April 30- May 1, 2023) – and named it after its jailed former secretary general Ghazi Chaouachi.
“The national council paid tribute to Ghazi Chaouachi’s family and expressed the party’s solidarity with its former SG and all political detainees,” he further said.
The economic and social crisis, tax justice and trade deficit were among the pivotal issues on the meeting’s agenda, Hajji added.
