Egypt confirms participation in Luanda Biennial

Luanda – Egyptian ambassador to Angola Khaled Hassan has confirmed his country’s participation in the Luanda Biennial- Pan African Forum for Culture of Peace, set for 18 – 22 September.

The diplomat confirmed his country’s presence during an audience granted by the Minister of Culture, Maria da Piedade de Jesus, on Monday in Luanda, Angola.

Egypt will also attend the event with a cultural delegation that include a folk group to show the diversity and richness of the local culture.

The Culture Minister, Maria da Piedade de Jesus, praised the prompt availability of Egypt, as well as the existing bonds of friendship between the two countries.

With the tripartite event (Angola, African Union and UNESCO), the country intends to promote harmony and brotherhood among peoples through cultural and civic activities.

Sixteen African and Diaspora countries were invited to participate in the event.

They are Egypt, Morocco, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Mali, Nigeria, Cape Verde, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Namibia, South Africa, Brazil and Italy.
