Elections 2022: MPLA president works in Uíge

Uíge – MPLA leader João Lourenço has been in northern Uíge province since Friday afternoon to address a mass political event on Saturday, as part of the general elections on 24 August.

João Lourenço, who is accompanied by his wife Ana Dias Lourenço, visited the province of the eastern Lunda Norte province on similar activity.

The electoral campaign runs from the 24 July to 22 August.

This year’s elections, which will have the participation of Angolans in diaspora for the first time, are the fifth in the country’s history, since 1992.
