Entrepreneurs address business opportunities

Luanda – Angolan and South African businessmen will attend a seminar on business opportunities on 08 – 13 September in Luanda, with a view to getting equipped on investment aspects and identification of areas with higher potentialities.

Twenty-five companies from various sectors of the business, especially construction, mining, infrastructure, industry, agriculture, agriculture and services, will exchange experiences and seek to promote their products to the more than 200 companies operating in the Angolan market.

According to South African ambassador to Angola, Fannie Mfana Phakolo, who was speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, in addition to the planned B2B (business-to-business) meetings, the participants visited firms in the sectors attending the event.

On the other hand, the South African embassy’s trade attache, Meshack Mathye, said that the imported products and business of the 30 South African companies operating in Angola are giving a positive signal.

Trade between Angola and South Africa in 2018 stood at Rand 230 million.

Trade volume from South Africa to Angola is around 377.7 billion kwanzas, while the contrary is 133.3 billion kwanzas, relatively low due to currency shortages.
