FAFUSA reaffirms continuity of coach Benvindo Inacio

The coach had a contract until the African Championship, played this month, in Morocco, but the unprecedented third place conquest and the consequent qualification for the world championship contributed to the renewal of the contract.

The federative official said that the FAFUSA board is to assess Angola’s participation in the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN2020) and that the terms of the contract with the coach will then be stipulated.

Within the scope of the World Championship, the federation is making contacts so that Benvindo Inacio benefits from a training course in Portugal or Spain, in the same way that conditions will be created for the team to have a preparation according to the importance of the event, including a training programme abroad.

For this purpose, an audience will be requested, later this month, with the minister of Youth and Sports, Ana Paula do Sacramento Neto, to present the result of the CAN and to envisage Angola’s participation in the Lithuania event.

Coaching the sport for 25 years, Benvindo Inacio has 10 national titles won at the service of several clubs in the country, in 15 participations, adding now in his sports curriculum the bronze medal of CAN and the qualification to the World Championship.
