FILDA/2018: Renewable energies boost economy

Luanda – Renewable energies are crucial for building the country’s energy and diversifying the economy for being more available and less expensive, said Energy and Water Minister JoAPound o Baptista Borges.

The minister was speaking to ANGOP at the 34th Edition of the International Trade Fair of Luanda (FILDA / 2018, opened by minister of Economy and Planning, Pedro Luis da Fonseca.

The minister said that the renewable energy improves, not only the living standards of families in municipalities, but also promote diversification and development of country’s economy.

The minister also said that renewable energy production sources also save the costs, mainly at time the country is facing an economic and financial crisis.

The official also referred to the existing private initiatives in line with the strategy defined by the Executive, to providing clean energy services.

According to the minister, Angola is betting on renewable sources of energy as it will contribute to environmental balance.

Opened on Tuesday, the 34th Edition of FILDA brings together 372 exhibitors from host (Angola), South Africa, Spain, Ghana, Holland, India, Italy, Macau, Portugal, United Kingdom, United States of America , Russia, Sweden, Turkey, Uruguay, Japan and Mozambique.
