Football: Angolan team’s head-coach lauds squad’s performance

Luanda – The Angolan national football team’s head-coach, Serdan Vasilevic , praised on Sunday, in Luanda, the performance of the squad in their 1-0 victory against Botswana counting for the second round of the African Cup of Nations (CAN2019) qualifiers.

Speaking in a post match press conference, the coach said that the players performed very professionally and achieved the goal of winning the match.

Serdan Vasilevic also praised the crowd of 43,000 supporters that were present at Luanda’s 11 de Novembro Stadium.

This was the first win of Angola after being defeated 1-3 by Burkina Faso in the first round.

The Angolan squad are currently in the third place of group I, led by Mauritius, while Botswana are at the bottom of the standing.
