Governor calls on inspection company for rigor in Luanda facelift work

Luanda – More rigidity for the supervising company DAR Angola of the restoration works of the road axes for the material used by the contractors, as well as the quality of its work is what the provincial governor of Luanda, Adriano Mendes de Carvalho requested, this Friday, during a field visit to the rehabilitation works of several streets and avenues, under the program “Luanda Verde 2022”, launched a month or so.

For the governor, it is necessary that the contractors use quality material, in order to guarantee greater durability of the infrastructures.

He considers that the improvement of the roads, consubstantiated in the guarantee of better drainage of rainwater, pavement, public lighting, sidewalks, afforestation and vertical and horizontal signaling, will allow a greater fluidity in the main roads.

Adriano Mendes de Carvalho appealed and asked citizens to avoid the dumping of garbage in drainage ditches and wastewater on roads, which can accelerate their degradation.

The governor once again apologized to the citizens for the inconveniences that the works will be causing and, for this reason, directed the contractors to facilitate the road circulation, even during the work, releasing immediately, the sections already intervened.

Adriano Mendes de Carvalho, together with the heads of the construction company Mota Engil Angola, the inspection company DAR Angola and municipal administrators, confirmed the state of the works at the intersection between Marien Nguabi and Antonio Monteiro streets, where sewage was cleared and pavement was removed.
