Dundo – The governor of Lunda Norte province, Ernesto Muangala, said Monday that the social area was one of the sectors with the highest growth in the last 44 years, as a result of several investments in Education, Health and Housing.
Speaking to the press on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the province of Lunda Norte, Muangala said that in the Education and Health sectors alone, 210 schools had been built, a total of 1,710 classrooms, 13 hospitals, 18 health centres, 67 health posts and a diagnosis centre.
He said that these two sectors would be boosted this year with 34 new schools, which would provide 315 classrooms, and a general hospital with 200 beds, which in the future would provide specialised services, particularly haemodialysis.
He noted that in the education sector, the Lueji A’nkonde University was also built, which includes faculties of Economics, Law and Education.
Since 2015, the University has graduated 2,663 graduates in various specialties in its organic units.
He noted that higher education will improve with the completion, within 24 months, of the Chitato university campus, with 74 classrooms, a rectory building, two rooms for simulated trials, residences for students and lecturers, libraries, auditorium, administrative and leisure areas, among other compartments inherent to academic activity.
