Handball: Angola fail to win pass to world championship semi-finals

Luanda – Angola national junior women’s handball team lost 21 -29 to Netherlands on Thursday and missed the chance to reach the semi-finals of the World Junior Handball Championship, being held in Slovenia.

The African champions faced difficulties in the opening minutes of the game with successive mistakes, thus finishing the first half in disadvanatage (9-17).

In the second half, Angola defence again made things easier for the opponent team, allowing them to score twenty more goals against twelve.

The African nation will now fight for the fifth or eighth position in the competition.

In 2018, Angola occupied the 19th position.

The other country that qualified for the semi-finals is Norway that defeated Switzerland by 37-20.
