Handball: Angola’s 5th presence at world cup guaranteed

The Angola’s debut at the world event happened in 2005 in an African country (Tunisia), where the country ranked 20th, among 24 participants, followed by the 2007 championship, in Germany, where they occupied the 21st position.

In 2017 in France, the national team had the worst performance, having been placed 24th and last position.

In their last presence in 2019, in joint organisation between Denmark and Germany, the Angolan team fell in 23rd position, among 24 competitors.

Entitled to five places, in view of the increase to 32 participants, Africa will be represented by six teams in the next World Cup, as the hosts (Egypt) have already secured their presence.
