Health reports 52 cases on Carnival first day

Luanda – The National Institute of Medical Emergencies of Angola (INEMA) registered 52 different cases on the first day (22) of Luanda’s Carnival.

According to the provincial official of the organism assigned to the Ministry of Health, InocA�ncio Ferreira, five men and 47 women were treated, with symptoms of fever, asthma, fainting due to hypoglycemia and abdominal pain.

Twenty malaria and 10 HIV screenings were carried out, with negative results and condoms were distributed, as well as leaflets with information on preventing coronavirus, conjunctivitis, HIV and drug use.

A case of centipede sting was seen at the scene.

The doctor advised, on the other hand, good mental preparation due to high temperatures, adequate food, consumption of fluids and avoiding excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages.

In order to deal with emergency situations, health services deployed 100 elements in Nova Marginal, during the three days of Carnival.
