Huila: Union reaffirms openness to dialogue to avoid dismissal

Lubango – The Trade union of Drinks and Similar of Angola (SIBSA) reaffirmed on Saturday in Lubango the commitment to continue to dialogue with the employers of companies affiliated to the organization throughout the country to take care of eventual anarchic collective dismissals, noticed lately due to an alleged conjunctural situation.

The commitment was disclosed to Angop, in this city, by the Secretary General of the Angolan Beverage and Similar Industries Union, Goncalves JoAPound o BrandAPound o, on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of the new worker union leader of the N’gola and Colca beers, Igor Baptista, who replaces, Paulo Canganjo, who held the same position for four years.

According to him, the union has maintained since 2015 social and permanent dialogue with employers so that, instead of collective dismissals it opts for another type of collective and comprehensive negotiation.

Although he does not disclose the number of workers already dismissed, he considered that when a worker loses a job, it has a negative social impact on the lives of their families and this is one of the concerns of the union.
