Maria Eugenia Neto releases a new Book

Luanda – “As nossas mAPound os constroem a liberdade” is the title of the new literary work of the writer Maria Eugenia Neto, to be released on November 7 at the Angolan Writers Union’s (UEA) headquarters in Luanda.

The book brings together tales that, in a sublime way, recreate the Angolan political and cultural imaginary from factional and existing figures of literature and the national political figures, such as Hoji ya Henda, Commander Benedito, Ngangula and others linked to the liberation of Angola.

Maria Eugenia Neto, born in Tras-os-Montes (Portugal) on March 8, 1934 is the widow of the first president of Angola.

She is the author of the books”E na Floresta os Bichos Falaram” (honorary prize at the Cultural Commission of the former German Democratic Republic, for UNESCO, 1977-Leipzig), among many others.
