MCS and Huawei address boosting cooperation

Luanda – The Minister of Social Communication, Nuno Caldas Albino, received Wednesday, in his office, in Luanda, the vice chairperson of the Chinese company Huawei in Angola, Hongzhen Liu, with whom he addressed issues related to institutional cooperation.

On the occasion, the Angolan official considered that Huawei is a company with global influence and the potential to play a significant role in the digital development of the Ministry of Social Communication (MCS).

Therefore, he defended the need to formalize mechanisms to strengthen cooperation in the area of talent training, support for children’s programs of public media, within the scope of social responsibility and the modernization of media equipment.

The minister acknowledged that Huawei has been a partner of Angola, in the long-term strategic development, which improves people’s lives through technology.

He highlighted the fact that it has created more than 800 job opportunities and trained more than 1,000 talents in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the last 20 years, as well as having donated ICT equipment and services to various institutions, including some from MCS .
