MPLA analyse composition of Parliamentary Group leadership

Luanda – The MPLA Political Bureau Secretariat on Friday in Luanda discussed two proposals related to the Parliamentary Group, namely on the composition of its restricted leadership and on the terms of reference for the party’s second parliamentary events.

The parliamentary journeys of the MPLA take place from 30 September to 4 October this year, in the province of Cabinda.

The meeting of the Secretariat of the Political Bureau was chaired by the MPLA president, JoAPound o Lourenco, and analyzed matters related to the internal life of the party and the society in general.

During the 17th ordinary session of the body, the secretariat also considered a proposal for the terms of reference for the diagnosis of the sports sector in Angola, highlighting the modalities of high competition, and set up a working group to elaborate of the said diagnosis.

The body welcomed the recent visit of the Portuguese prime minister to Angola, predicting that it will serve to consolidate bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.

The secretariat of the MPLA Political Bureau was elected on September 10 of this year. The Political Bureau was elected on the 8th of this month, following the extraordinary congress of the party, held on the same day.
