Namibia Seeks to Strengthen Cooperation with Angola in Seven Key Areas

Huambo: The Consul of the Republic of Namibia for the Southern Region of Angola, Annel Endjala, expressed her country’s interest in strengthening cooperation with Angola across various sectors, including agriculture, education, youth, sports, the creative industry, health, and land. This announcement was made during a meeting with Huila Governor Nuno Mahapi in the central Huila province.

According to Angola Press News Agency, Endjala highlighted Namibia’s focus on food security and youth empowerment within the agricultural sector. By improving education and technical training, Namibia aims to enhance staff skills through quality education. In the creative industry, Namibia seeks to empower young people to develop their artistic talents.

jala further detailed the objectives in the health sector, which include providing services in rural areas to improve community life. In terms of land, Namibia is looking for sufficient space to build houses and improve basic sanitation in urban areas. She emphasized that Namibia’s favorable macroeconomic situation, stemming from the country’s stable peace, has created an environment conducive to development and successful business operations.

“With these identified areas of mutual interest and the favorable environment we enjoy, we are confident that we are on the right track to implementing our cooperation,” Endjala stated. She concluded by asserting that Angola remains a strategic partner for Namibia due to a foundation established by their founders, aimed at improving the well-being of both communities.
