National Development Plan increments resources to social sector

Luanda – The National Development Plan (PDN) 2018/2022 presented to the journalists on Thursday, foresees an increased financial resources allocation to economic and social sectors, especially to health and education.

On the other hand the PND introduces reduced financial resources channeled to general public services, defense, order and public security.

Based on the PND’s projections, the financial resources allocation to these key sectors for the development of the human being and the well being of the people is expected to progressively grow in the next five years.

The document was elaborated based on the ruling MPLA party’s governance programme for 2018/2022 period, the Angola 2015 strategy, the Law of bases of the General Regime of the National System of Planning 14 of January, among others.

The medium and long-term international commitments, the United Nations Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development and the African Union Agenda 2063 were other documents that served as a basis for the elaboration of the PND.
