Only 0.2% of bank customers complain over services

Luanda A total of 23,000 bank customers out of the overall 12 million bank users in Angola had complained over poor services supplied by local bank institutions in 2019, said the director of the Financial Behavior Department of the country’s Central Bank (BNA), Osvaldo dos Santos.

Complaints represent only 0.2 percent in relation to the total of existing accounts in the country an increase compared to the complaints presented in 2018, which reached 20,328.

Osvaldo dos Santos, who was speaking at the annual cycle of BNA conferences, which analyzed Evaluation of Banking Services from the User’s Perspective, reported that in 2017 at least 23,000 customers complained about banking services.

The main complaints were linked to currency transfers, conversion of national currency into foreign currency, internal transfer, national and international payment cards and internet banking system.
