Over 20,000 young people attend training

Luanda – At least 20,956 young people have benefited from training and capacity-building efforts through digital literacy and English language, under the cooperation agreement between the US Embassy and the Media Library Network Angola (REMA).

The data were released on Friday, on the sidelines of the signing session of the protocol, by the director of the Technical Unit of REMA, Paulo Pedro.

The numbers were achieved with the implementation of 7 programs in 102 events. The agreement, which aims to increase and strengthen the partnership between the two entities, was signed by the American Ambassador to Angola, Nina Maria Fite, and the Secretary of State for Information Technology, Manuel Homem.

The initiative aims to increase the activities aimed at young people under the aegis of both institutions, focusing on the consolidation of the entrepreneurship ecosystem and developing professional skills of participants in a wide range of fields.
