Paralympics Sports: Sao Filipe Stadium “home” of CAN2019

Founded on June 24 1920 which is also the anniversary of the club that owns the infrastructure Nacional de Benguela the venue has the capacity to seat seven thousand supporters.

This football symbol hosted in November 1976 the first structured tournament organized after the national independence.

The Amputee Football CAN will be the first international event that the infrastructure will host.

The only time Nacional de Benguela was engaged in an African competition they played with the Union Sportive de Douala from Cameroon but in the country’s capital Luanda.

The competing teams will have two training camps namely Vila do Campismo and Municipal de Benguela.

The 2019 CAN will be attended by Angola (host) Nigeria Liberia Sierra Leone Tanzania and Cameroon.
