Luanda – Petro de Luanda defeated Sagrada Esperança of Lunda Norte Thursday in Dundo city by 3-0 and have qualified for the Angolan Football Cup final.
The final of the Angolan Cup is scheduled for next Sunday, at the Tundavala stadium in the city of Lubango, Huila province.
The “tricolores” were ahead at half-time with goals from Kinito at the first minute and a double from Tiago Azulão (8′ and 34′), respectively, in the match played at the Sagrada Esperança stadium.
This competition started in 1980, and Petro won on 12 occasions, the last one in 2020-21, and Sagrada twice (1988 and 1999).
The other finalist of the competition, Desportivo da Huila, never won the trophy, having lost two finals with Petro de Luanda and one with 1º de Agosto.
