President gets message from Congo’s leader Sassou Nguesso

Luanda – The Angolan President, JoAPound o Lourenco, received today (Tuesday) the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Congo, Jean Claude Gakosso, who delivered a message from the Congolese Head of State, Denis Sassou Nguesso.

At the end of the meeting, the special envoy of Dennis Sassou Nguesso, who in April of last year was in Luanda for the same purpose, did not make any statements to the press.

Last Saturday (23), President Dennis Sassou Nguesso was in the Angolan village of Cuito Cuanavale, province of Cuando Cubango, on the occasion of the Liberation Day of Southern Africa, marked on 23 March.

Dennis Sassou Nguesso assumes the rotating presidency of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (CIRGL), a regional organization to which Angola belongs.

Angola and Congo maintain cooperation relations in the political-diplomatic, transport, petroleum, trade, tourism and environment domains.
