Luanda: President Joo Louren§o received Thursday in audience in Luanda, the ministers and heads of delegations participating in the 6th Meeting of Ministers of the Interior and Internal Administration of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP).
According to Angola Press News Agency, the meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere and served to reaffirm the joint commitment to strengthen cooperation between the CPLP member states in the fields of internal security, mobility, and public administration.
Speaking to the press, the Deputy Minister of National Security and the Interior of Equatorial Guinea, Fortunato Insue Edu, considered the meeting a gesture of courtesy and recognition from the Angolan Head of State to the participating delegations.
The Equatorial Guinean official thanked the Angolan people and the Ministry of the Interior for their hospitality and for organizing the event, highlighting Angola’s role in strengthening cooperation among Portuguese-speaking countries.
He also expressed confidence that the ministerial meeting will contribute to achieving concrete results in promoting security and mobility policies, as well as strengthening institutional collaboration within the CPLP.
The 6th Meeting of Ministers of the Interior and Internal Administration of the CPLP takes place this Friday in Luanda, with the aim of consolidating cooperation mechanisms and sharing experiences among member states.
