Sagrada Esperança hires Portuguese coach

Dundo – Portuguese Alexandre Ribeiro, 44, is the new coach of Lunda Norte club Sagrada Esperança for the 2022-23 season, ANGOP learned Sunday.

The professional replaces Angolan Roque Sapiri, who was for two seasons in charge of Sagrada’s technical command (2019-2022).

Coming from Anadia Futebol, from the third division of Portuguese championship, Alexandre Ribeiro will be presented to the members and fans of the “Lundas” next Wednesday (6).

Without revealing the details of the contract, the source informed that on the same occasion ten new players will also be presented with a view to the 2022-23 season.

He is the third Portuguese coach to coach Sagrada Esperança, after Paulo Torres and António Caldas.

His sports curriculum includes coaching in Valadares Gaia, Cinfães, Selgueiros, Oliveirense, Oliveira Douro, UD Leiria and Covilhã, clubs from the first, second and third division in Portugal.

He has already been an observer for FC Porto (2009-2010),

In the next football season (2022-23), Sagrada will be involved in Girabola, Angolan Cup and Nelson Mandela Cup (African competition).
