State Secretary reiterates importance of dialogue with trade union

Huambo – The Secretary of State for Justice and Human Rights, Orlando Fernandes, said Friday, in central Huambo province, the cross-sectional dialogue with the trade Union of Officials of Justice of Angola (SOJA), as a privileged way to improve the well being of workers in the sector.

The official who was speaking at the opening of the II technical-scientific days of the Justice Officials, which are attended by 216 operators of justice from all over the country.

He also said that dialogue is the main way to improve the living quality of SOJA members.

The official recalled that the Executive is still committed to judicial reform through the implementation of the Luanda and Benguela Relations Courts, as well as the appointment of 130 judges and 120 prosecutors, as well as the administrative and financial autonomy of the judicial bodies.

According to the Secretary of State, other relevant fact is related to the approval of the Penal Code and, soon, the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Orlando Fernandes emphasized, that this motto must be translated into the commitment of the trade union organization, which, in turn, should require the improvement of the services provided to the citizens in conflict with the law.
