U 17/Football: Angola and Korea fight for quarter finals pass

Luanda The Under 17 national football team will face South Korea this Tuesday night, in Goiania, in the round of 16 match of the world championship of the category that takes place in Brazil.

After a positive first stage, with two wins and one defeat, Angola are looking to reach the quarter finals against an opponent at all levels unknown to coach Pedro Goncalves and his boys.

Meanwhile, the squad’s 0 2 defeat by the host team (Brazil) in the closing of the group stage has already been digested, so the national team should double efforts on the pitch as the Koreans have also been making a good championship.

Angolans and South Koreans occupied, respectively, the second position of their groups (A and C) with six points and are meeting each other for the first time. The winning squad will face in the quarter finals the winner of the Japan Mexico match, set to happen on Wednesday, Nov 06.

The other round of 16 matches, in which Africa is represented by three teams, are Nigeria Netherlands, Senegal Spain, Brazil Chile, France Australia, Italy Ecuador and Argentina Paraguay.

England, absent from this edition, are the holders of the trophy
