Under-17 team get single win in four practice games

Luanda – In more than two months of preparation for the unprecedented participation in the World Cup next October in Brazil, the national Under-17 team have already played four friendly matches, in which only won one against AFA 4-1.

Bronze medal team, won in the African championship played in Tanzania, lost 1-4 to under-20 side of 1 de Agosto, tied goalless with Real Sambila and Interclube U-20 on Wednesday in Luanda.

In this match, which marked the last of the three weekly training sessions, the team already counted on the leading of Portuguese coach Pedro Goncalves, who in the service of the Palancas Negras beat the Gambia (2-1) in 11 de Novembro stadium, qualifying for the group stage of the Qatar World Championship race in 2022.

Prior to participating in the event in Brazil, Angolans will compete at the end of this month in an international tournament, in Turkey, and before participating in the Cosafa Cup.

In the World Championship, Angola is included in group A, with Brazil, Canada and New Zealand.
